Firstly, I owe you an apology for the delayed issue last week. It was definitely more like an πAfternoon Tea N Learnπ. Then (shock, horror!) I realised the heading of the issue was incorrect too! Oops.
I am most definitely holding the belief that sound Emotional Intelligence is demonstrated by being accountable and admitting to your mistakes. We’re human, mistakes are inevitable and actually this fits very nicely with my planned content for today too.
So I promised the answers to last week’s Emoji quiz to acknowledge World Emoji Day. Here they are! How many did you get right?
βοΈποΈ = War and Peace
πππππ = The Very Hungry Caterpillar
π§ππͺ= The Girl with the dragon tattoo
πͺπββοΈ= The Kite Runner
π§ππ©β²οΈπ°β¦οΈ= Alice in Wonderland

ππ³π³π·= Green eggs & ham
π€«π΄π³πΉπ·πΌ= The Secret Garden
Now onto my content for today and I’m quoting an extract from Chapter “Y is forβ¦You” in my book “A-Z Pearls of Wisdom for Executive PAs”.
“Many of the Pearls of Wisdom β¦you can put into practice to be the very best you can be, so that you can acheive excellence in whatever you doβ¦
My intention is not to produce a robotic production line of cloned PAs. This dehumanisation of you as individuals is not the purpose of sharing these Pearls of Wisdom.
As I type this, I am all too aware of the journalistic scare-mongering rearing it head in the form of articles that tell us our profession will be redundant.
As technology advances, we are told the work we do can be replaced by robots, AI and apps (and of course, it can be done more efficienty negating the human errors that inevitably do occur).
I abhorrently do not believe this.
For relationships are at the heart of any succesful organisation and human contact will never be replaced by insensitive and characterless apps and robots”.

To expand on my published words, I believe AI is something we can all take advantage of to help us with effectiveness and efficiency, whilst still retaining that all-important human connection with relationships at the core of any succesful partnership and organisation.
I’m sure you’d agree that AI is a pretty hot topic at the moment too. That’s why we’ve invited AI/ChatGPT specialist Steve Mark to be the host for our very first Lunch and Learn LIVE session on 25th September.
We’d love to have you join us for this fantastic learning session. Head to our webpage here to book your place for just Β£39. Or you can book all 6 sessions in our LIVE series at a discounted price of Β£179, saving you Β£55.
