Welcome to Issue 179 of 🍏Lunch N Learn with Lindsay 🍏 It’s a special day in the Taylor/Your Excellency household as we celebrate our daughter, Lottie’s 18th birthday today. In true Lottie-ism fashion, she announced “you no longer have any children now I’m officially an adult mum…” which did made me laugh! Needless to say, the focus has been very much on Lottie over the weekend and there’ll be more celebrations when she gets home from school this evening. As a household we “hang fire” on mentioning the upcoming Christmas festivities so the limelight can be on the birthday girl. However, this hasn’t stopped me mulling over whether I’ll be writing Christmas cards this year. I was reminded of an article I wrote for Wearethecity.com linked here. For those who celebrate, what plans are you making to spread some festive cheer? And remember, no matter your age or “now I’m an adult” status, make sure you continue to channel childlike curiosity. Take a read of this archive Lunch n Learn “Act your shoe size, not your age” encouraging the mindset of a 6 year old to ensure continued learning. |
