Lunch and Learn with Lindsay – Issue 193: The Modelling of Excellence (revisited)

Welcome to 🍏Lunch N Learn with Lindsay🍏 Issue 193.

I’m tapping this out from India where I’ve been spending a glorious few days with Malcolm “getting my equilibrium back” after a busy few weeks at Your Excellency.

The gorgeous photo below is a neighbouring houseboat to our own, on the Kerala backwaters where we have spent the weekend. These houseboats are converted kettuvallam rice and spice barges clad with jackwood and coir and coated with black boiled cashew kernel resin. We have sailed past riverside villages where the ladies do their laundry on the banks slamming their clothing onto rocks to dry them, where children swim and the Dhoti-clad men wash themselves.

Thank you to every single one of you who has booked Programmes in March.  It has been a “bumper” booking month so far which has kept me and the rest of the team on our toes.  Needless to say, we can’t wait to support your career and learning journey in 2024.  This is what we are truly passionate about, raising the profile of the EA/PA and Business Support Professional, and we are so proud of our premium offerings and the friendly support we give you to become #trulyexceptional.

I had quite a few direct emails last week in response to LNL Issue 192. It is apparent that it’s not just me who has inspirational family members/ancestors (like my Granny who you can read about here if you missed the Issue).  I LOVE  that you took the time to tell me about your own inspirational heritage – thank you!

I have come from a long line of strong females and the other day when I made a comment to my daughter, Lottie, it was like listening to my own mum (mom).

Which of these comments resonate with you and/or amuses you?!

“Take off you coat/jacket otherwise you won’t feel the benefit of it when you step outside”

“If you’ve got nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all”

and

“do you need to use the bathroom before we leave?  Are you sure?  Let’s just try…”

This reminded me of my “Modelling of Excellence” archieve LNL post which you can read here.

I hope you enjoy this!
