Lunch and Learn with Lindsay – Issue 218: Setting the tone for the day with a smile!

Welcome to 🍏Lunch n Learn with Lindsay🍏 Issue 218 and I hope you had a great weekend.

It was a relaxing weekend for me bedding down the garden for Autumn/Winter, planting out Spring bulbs, harvesting the lavender and making it into lavender bags. (Actually reading that back it doesn’t sound sooooo relaxing does it!).

I got sidetracked again this morning reading my Facebook memories and the following post from 2020 made me smile.   Setting the tone for the day by connecting and spreading energy and a smile is so important – what do you think?

Facebook Post September 2020

Human connection – it’s a funny thing.  And it doesn’t take much to start someone’s day off with a friendly wave and smile that is reciprocated……

You see, I had the delight of doing the school run this morning….my journey included waving to the “lollypop man” outside a school that I go past on the way out of Bedford (he now recognises me and my car….), flashing my lights at another school run friend in her car (she runs a bit later than me so as I leave the town as she is arriving into it….), waving to several of the sports teachers at Miss Lottie’s school as she falls out of the car with all her sports bags and paraphernalia and blowing kisses to some of her school friends as they stand at the crossing heading into school……

I think it’s a perfect way to start the day and spread a bit of connection energy and cheeriness.

It doesn’t take much.
