| Welcome to Lunch n Learn with Lindsay🍏 Issue 251 and, for those experiencing the heatwave in the UK, I hope you are keeping your cool! Last week, I had the pleasure to welcome our new June Cohort of The Essential PA Programme to their first training Unit “The Role of the Executive Assistant and Personal Assistant”. The final session of this training day covers networking and its benefits to ensure you are taking advantage of the many communities of supportive professionals. There is a fantastic resource over on our Business Friend’s webpage, Executive Support Magazine here which lists all the Associations supporting the EA/PA and Administrative Professional across the world. At Your Excellency we are proud to work with so many of these networks. If you want a personal introduction to the organiser of one of these groups, just let me know and I’ll happily connect you. For anyone who finds the idea of networking daunting, know that you’re not alone, particularly if you’re thinkng about networking in terms of walking in to a room full of people, the majority of whom you’ve never met before. It’s good to have strategies ready to help in instances where you feel you’re stepping out of your comfort zone and my HELLO Strategy is a great resource. I’ll be sharing this HELLO Strategy over my next few Lunch n Learn Issues in a series of top tips which I hope you will enjoy. Stay tuned for upcoming Lunch n Learn Issues when we’ll be saying HELLO to Networking! |
