Lunch and Learn with Lindsay – Issue 285: “Mind the Gap” : an iconic Transport for London (TfL) reminder!

Today’s content inspiration comes from a “snazzy” (gosh, I’ve gone back to the 80s with that term!!) poster I spotted at WestFerry DLR station showing the iconic TFL (Transport For London) saying “Mind the Gap”.
Last week’s PA Show at Excel London was fantastic.  It was great to see some of you, our existing Your Excellency clients and learners – equally as wonderful to meet new EA and PA professionals keen to find out more about our learning and development offerings.  The Show coincided with a Press Release about our Mini MBA for Senior & Executive Assistants. You can read this Press Release here.

This is certainly something you need to be aware of when it comes to your learning and development.

Knowing what gaps exist in your skillsets, education or capabilities gives you the opportunity to consider how to fill those gaps negating any downfall when it comes to career progression and ensuring you’re being the very best you can be.

Ask yourself:

Am I happy with my level of education or skillsets – are there any gaps?
What tasks do I avoid doing because I’m not confident doing them?

These questions and more are posed in a Personal SWOT exercise, something I advocate you conduct every 2-3 months.  Details of how to conduct a full Personal SWOT are on my blog post here.

Have a productive working week and, a la TFL, “Mind the gap!”
