Last week Your Excellency exhibited at The PA Show in London. It was the perfect opportunity to catch up with existing clients and business friends alongside meeting new EAs, PAs and Executive Support professionals keen to know how the team here at Your Excellency can support you in your career.
If you’re one of our new readers who signed up in person at this event, I do hope you enjoy this first ????Lunch N Learn with Lindsay???? issue and it whets your appetite for more “food for thought”!! You’ll find previous issues on our Blog Page here alongside other relevant and beneficial articles.
On Day One of The PA Show, I shared an interactive training session on Emotional Intelligence, which was received with great feedback. Attendees took away lots of food for thought and I’m using my presentation as a basis for my next few #LunchNLearnWithLindsay issues.
I love this quote from Emotional Intelligence expert, trainer and author, Harvey Deutschendorf . Attendees at my PA Show training session were invited to take part in an interactive exercise where they dentified emotional labels using the alphabet as a framework.
Those with a high EI are able to draw on an extensive vocabulary to identify what emotions and feelings they are experiencing.
Over the next few #LunchNLearnWithLindsay issues, I’m inviting you to build your own “porfolio of emotonal labels” and to expand on my inputs. Today I’m sharing labels for A-F.
Finish the sentence “I feel…….” to identify how you’re feeling right now.
Think about the deluge of emotions you’ve faced over the last 18 months during this time of change and challenge. What feelings have you experienced?
What emotional labels can you add to my inputs? (and note – one of my favourites which is BASOREXIA – an overwhelming urge to hug someone which we were unable to do during Covid-restrictions…..).
