Lunch and Learn with Lindsay – Issue 198: Garden & Countryside inspiration

Welcome to 🍏Lunch N Learn with Lindsay🍏 Issue 198.

This morning you’ll find me in a thoughtful mood after a rather strange weekend.  The incessant rain showers meant I didn’t get out in the garden as I had planned to weed and cut back the straggly tulip heads or to check the progress of the alliums that are about to bloom. My step count was quite dismal and I was also “full on mum” for Lottie who had a temperature and was feeling “under the weather”.

This morning, thank goodness, Lottie is feeling a tad better, the sky is blue and I’ve power-marched a circuit of the village, stopping to admire “Duckingham Palace” (a beautiful handcrafted duck house on our village pond) and the “pom pom” duck who was preening himself on its varanda.

Whilst I LOVE heading to the sparkly lights of London and other major cities, it’s amazing to have home and Your Excellency HQ in such beautiful countryside and a garden to love and admire.  This reminded me of a beautiful quote which I hope acts as food for thought for you today.

“Your mind is a garden.  Your thoughts are the seeds.  You can grow flowers or you can grow weeds”
