Welcome to 🍏Lunch N Learn with Lindsay🍏 Issue 205. How was your weekend? Mine was a perfect eclectic mix of gardening, housework, visiting my dad (who’s recently had keyhole surgery and is doing remarkably well), watching Lottie play cricket and, as is typical for me on a Sunday evening, scrolling through Pinterest with a glass of chilled Marlborough in hand! I love losing myself in Pinterest for visual inspiration and delight. The below picture ripe with sarcasm and witticism galore, came up in my feed. This made me giggle and got me thinking about communication. |

You may think there’s no way your message could have been more clear, but to ensure complete understanding and less likelihood of a message being “unclear”, you need to tailor your message to the style of your reader/audience.
– Shorten your sentences. Read archive Lunch n Learn Issue 96 here.
– Seal it with a KISS! Put any requests for information at the beginning of a message. Those who have a “big picture” behaviour pattern rather than “detail” are likely to lose interest in your message if they need to scroll down. Take a read of Chapter K of my book “A-Z Pearls of Wisdom for Executive PAs” below.
– Think about VAK preferences. Read my archive Blog Post here.
I have copies of my book here at Your Excellency HQ. If you’d like me to post you a signed copy, email me for a price to include p&p OR they’re available on Amazon here.
Wishing you a super week!
