Lunch and Learn with Lindsay – Issue 221: Navigating a changing landscape

Welcome to 🍏Lunch n Learn with Lindsay🍏 Issue 221 and I hope you had a great weekend.

Today I’m joining you from Belgium (with Malcolm). We’ve explored Ghent, Ypres, Dinant, Waterloo and, as our final destination, we arrived in Brussels yesterday afternoon. On today’s “agenda” is a final bowl of moules frites before our flight home this evening.

I’ve had my laptop with me for the last few days of this Belgium trip and have been super productive checking off things on the “to do” list, including early this morning finalising the design of a 2 day Workshop that I’ll be delivering in Singapore and Hong Kong next year.

In this Workshop I am acknowleding that rapid technological advances and evolving working practices are reshaping the lives of Executive Assistants across the globe.

Whilst tech-savvy EA professionals embrace the concept that “AI Won’t Replace Humans — But Humans With AI Will Replace Humans Without AI”,  the most successful EAs recognise that the EA-Executive working relationship is founded on human connection and effective communication.

As you leverage AI, you need to ensure rapport is not compromised.  You need to heighten your emotional intelligence to build resilience.  Ultimately, you need to be pro-active in future-proofing your career as you adapt to a changing landscape.

I’ve popped lots of weblinks into my message today that will take you to relevant articles and learning.  I’d also encourage you to check out the upcoming Lunch n Learn LIVE with Shelley Fishel linked on the image below.

As ever, enjoy the read and learning and I wish you all the best for the week ahead,

Lindsay x
