Lunch and Learn with Lindsay – Issue 222: Thank you so much!

Welcome to 🍏Lunch n Learn with Lindsay🍏 Issue 222.

Today you’ll find me designing a bespoke “Managing your energy” Session for a long-standing corporate client.

The advice given in the original HBR article which forms the basis of this training always makes me smile.

There’s some sound advice on repleneshing your energy across four energy dimensions.  The content resonates with me on a practical level to identify the changes you can make to your “rituals” or routines.  These can be small changes resulting in big impact.

One of my favourite pieces of advice is to renew your Emotional Energy by saying “thank you”to those who support you.

It’s true isn’t it that we sometimes take the people around us for granted.  A moment of reflection on WHO we can thank and HOW you can thank them will absolutely renew your Emotional Energy. This “attitude of gratitude” can be the catalyst for one of the oldest human laws too, namely “The Law of Reciprocity” that states the good you do for someone will be reciprocated or returned to you.

So, today I’m asking you to identify someone you can say “thank you” to – a phone call, a greeting card, an email, a hug.  Who can you acknowledge and appreciate and how will you do this?

And as I type that last sentence, Malcolm has put a large steaming mug of freshly brewed coffee in front of me.  Thank you Malcolm x

And I want to say a “thank you” to all of you, my readers, engagers and learners who support me and Your Excellency in our mission to elevate the role and profession of EAs, PAs and Administrative Professionals across the world.

THANK YOU!

Lindsay x
