Lunch and Learn with Lindsay – Issue 109 – Emotional Intelligence and Motivation

Welcome to the fourth in this series covering Emotional Intelligence (EI).

We’ve already covered two of the 5 domains that make up Emotional Intelligence – namely Self Awareness and Self Regulation. 

In this issue we’re going to consider Motivation and what you can do to improve your EI in this domain.

Motivation

Motivation is all about working consistently towards your goals and maintaining quality in your work.

1.  Make sure the goals you set (for yourself and your team) are energising and exciting. 

2.  Familiarise yourself with Locke & Latham’s Goal Setting Theory here.
