Lunch and Learn with Lindsay – Issue 116 – Well Formed Outcomes Final Steps

Over the last few issues I’ve shared bite-size information with you on achieving your goals (or Outcomes) using the Well Formed Outcomes Model pictured below. You can catch up here.

One of the reasons many outcomes (goals) are not successful is because they don’t have a desirability factor.  In Step 5 : Desirabiity of the Well Formed Outcomes Model we ask

“How desirable is your outcome?”

How much do you want this?  If you were to give your outcome a score out of 10 with 10 being the most you want it, what are you scoring it?  If you’re scoring it as a 7, 8 or 9, what can you add to your outcome or do to your outcome to make it a 10?

In order for you to “give your all” and for your outcome to be successful it has to be desirable – you have to really want it.

Once you’re scoring 10/10, identify the first step to achieving your outcome (Step 6 : First Step).

This is something you can do in the next 24-48 hours.  However small this first step may seem, it is the (all-important!) forward momentum and start of your journey to achieving your outcome.

Imagine you’ve taken this first step – what can you see, hear and feel now you’ve taken this first step?

So, there we have it!  You’ve applied the Well Formed Outcomes Model.  I’ve loved sharing this Model and hope you’ve found it incredibly useful.
