Lunch and Learn with Lindsay – Issue 115 – Well Formed Outcomes Step 4 : Resources

Over the next few issues I’m sharing bite-size information with you on achieving your goals (or Outcomes) using the Well Formed Outcomes Model pictured below. If you’ve missed the first 3 issues in this Series, you can catch up here.

You now have clarity over what your outcome looks like, sounds like and feels like, you’ve applied (Step 1) creative visualisation to full effect and you’ve identfied (Step 2) Context and (Step 3) Fit and Ecology.

Now, we’re going to apply Step 4 and identify the Resources you need to succesfully achieve your outcome.

This is where it is beneficial to think wider than “external resources” (the “things” or “items” you need) and also consider “internal resources”.

In this context, internal resources are the behaviours you need to draw on to achieve your outcome.  Internal resources are, essentially, the things going on internally for you.  Examples are

– determination
– focus and
– assertiveness.

Internal resources can be identfied by answering “how do I need to be to achieve my outcome?”.  .
