Over the next few issues I’m sharing bite-size information with you on achieving your goals (or Outcomes) using the Well Formed Outcomes Model introduced to you in the first two issues of this series. If you’ve missed these, you can catch up here.
Now you have clarity over what your outcome looks like, sounds like and feels like, you are ready to apply Steps 2 and 3.
Step 2 : What is the context?
Remember the great Einstein quote below.
Could you explain your outcome to a 7 year old? Do you know it’s parameters – what’s IN and what’s OUT?
Step 3 : How does it fit?
How does this outcome fit with your whole life?
What is the effect on other people’s lives? Is this acceptable to you?
What other ecologies are created?
By achieving this outcome what else do you lose or disrupt? This is known as “secondary gain” – what you get by keeping yourself in your current position.
You therefore need to determine where the greater benefits lie – in your current position or by achieving your new Well Formed Outcome.
Join me next week when we apply Step 4 to identify the Resources you need to achieve your outcome.
