Lunch and Learn with Lindsay – Issue 263: A VIP Dinner

Welcome to Issue 263.

My trusty “National & International Days”Calendar tells me it’s International Podcast Day tomorrow.

Do you listen to podcasts and, if so, which are your favourites?

If you didn’t already know, I produce a monthly podcast called “EA/PA Chataway with Lindsay”which can be accessed from our webpage here or wherever you normally find your podcast inspiration.

I love chatting to guests from the EA/PA community and regularly cite that it satisfies my curiosity (okay – nosiness maybe!) when it comes to knowing how others are performing in their roles and the advice they would give to their peers.  From the favourable comments I receive from my listeners (you?!) I think we’re all pretty curious about others in this profession too!

There is a loose format to my podcast episodes.  I  ask my guests to identify three guests they would invite to a dinner party (historic or alive) and there have been some very interesting guest lists.

On our About Us” webpage where you can find out more about me and the team at Your Excellency, I share my three dinner guests as:

🍽️1️⃣Michael Palin – for his (Monty Python!) wit and to share stories of travelling around the world.

🍽️2️⃣David Attenburgh – goodness! So many reasons but this man is such an authority on the world based on his experiences.

🍽️3️⃣Henry VIII – I love the Tudor period and would be fascinated to know first-hand what life was really like during this time according to one of the prominent characters during the time.

Who would you invite? and what are your reasons for including these dinner guests?
