This Lunch n Learn Issue has me joining you with a bit of a frown on my face! So, what’s the cause of my furrowed brow?
Well, I’ve read several LinkedIn posts this morning that use the term “boss“. And I really don’t like this word!
For me, using the word “boss” implies the person you are referring to has control.
I also relate “boss” to “bossy” which is defined as someone who likes giving orders or is domineering.
So, what’s the alternatives then?
Executive, Exec, Manager, Leader (the SLT – Senior Leadership Team) all have more positive connotations.
What do you think?
